About me

Welcome, I am Hiroyuki Yamada.

I was born in 1961 and graduated high school on Yoron Island.
I studied Electrical and Information Engineering at Kumamoto University and its graduate school.
Throughout my career, I was mainly involved in the development and marketing of optical communication devices and sensor modules.

In 2016, I moved to Nago City in Okinawa with the goal of becoming a Yanbaru tour guide.
For the past six years, I have worked as a friendly and knowledgeable staff member at the Cape Hedo Tourist Information Center.
At the same time, I traveled across Okinawa Island to prepare for guiding—exploring forests, studying in museums, and listening to the stories of many people.

Starting in September 2025, I plan to officially begin working as a  Yanbaru tour guide.
